Terms of Service

By accessing or using GetDistributed (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Platform. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use constitutes acceptance of the changes.

You must create an account to use certain features of the Platform. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at security@getdistributed.io of any unauthorized use.

The Platform facilitates three primary user roles:

• Startups: List products, define commission structures, review and accept marketer proposals, manage referral relationships, and pay commissions.
• Marketers: Browse startup listings, submit proposals, promote products via referral links, and earn commissions on qualified conversions.
• Buyers: Browse acquisition listings, submit offers, and engage in structured deal flow.

Each user is solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations governing their activities on the Platform.

Commission rates are negotiated between startups and marketers through the proposal system. All transactions are processed through our payment partners. GetDistributed charges a platform fee on completed commission payouts, which will be disclosed at the time of deal acceptance. Payment disputes must be raised within 14 days of the transaction date.

You agree not to engage in any of the following:

• Misrepresenting your identity, role, or relationship to any startup.
• Manipulating referral links, artificially inflating conversions, or engaging in fraudulent activity.
• Using the Platform to distribute malware, spam, or harmful content.
• Circumventing payment systems or attempting to transact outside the Platform to avoid fees.
• Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users.
• Violating any applicable local, state, national, or international law.

The Platform and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by GetDistributed and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Startup listings and marketer profiles remain the intellectual property of their respective owners.

GetDistributed provides the Platform on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the operation, availability, or accuracy of the Platform. In no event shall GetDistributed be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Platform.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any conduct that we deem harmful to the Platform or its users. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Outstanding payment obligations at the time of termination will still be honored.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of San Francisco County, California.
